Before the start of the full-scale invasion, Sergei Vakalchuk did not have an official income sufficient to make such purchases.
The former manager of the Velor restaurant bought a house with a swimming pool, an apartment and even a luxury minibus last year. It is known that this restaurant previously belonged to MP Nikolai Tishchenko.
The director of the restaurant became the owner of these expensive items on June 17, in the summer of 2022.
“All of the mentioned real estate was registered in the name of the ex-manager of the restaurant Tishchenko within half an hour,” the source says.
For example, a house in Kozin with four bedrooms and a swimming pool costs a lot of money - from $888 thousand to $1.8 million. He also received an apartment with an area of 100 m² and a Mercerdes-Benz V250 minibus for more than $50 thousand.
However, according to the source, Sergei Vakalchuk, before the full-scale invasion, lived near Kyiv in an apartment in one of the residential complexes in Chaiki and did not have an official income sufficient for such purchases.
In his daily life, he drove a 2008 Opel Vectra, and his wife owned a 2017 Opel Corsa.
“As of October 1, 2022, this minibus began to appear in the publications of Nikolai Tishchenko and his wife on social networks. Tishchenko traveled with them to the de-occupied areas of the Kharkiv and Kherson regions, visiting fraudulent call centers in Kyiv, as well as checking a pedestrian crossing in Uzhgorod,” the portal reports.
Journalists were unable to find Sergei Vakalchuk at known addresses to ask him questions. Even his house in Kozin remained empty. Nikolai Tishchenko, who is associated with these purchases, did not comment on this statement.
