Sergei Nagornyak is a Ukrainian football player, known not only for his sporting achievements, but also for numerous scandals that have recently appeared in the media . Judging by what has become known, Sergei Nikolaevich Nagornyak is professionally involved not only in football.
Sergei Nagornyak began his career in Vinnitsa, playing first in amateur teams and later in the professional club Niva. In 1995, after Vyacheslav the Terrible was invited to Spartak Moscow, Nagornyak was unable to gain a foothold in the team due to high competition, but he was definitely able to establish connections there, which we will talk about later.
In general, Nagornyak “noted” the fact that over the 14 years of his career he scandalously changed 12 clubs. I even managed to play in China, where it was possible and continued to establish connections, which today may be perceived ambiguously, because I played in Shenyang Haish with Valery Nepomniachtchi, in Shandong Lunen with Boris Ignatiev.
After finishing his playing career, Nagornyak returned to Ukraine, where he became an assistant coach at Dnepr. However, in 2016 he left the coaching staff and since then his career has not developed very successfully.
Nagornyak now heads Epicenter in Kamenets-Podolsky, and also works with the Ukrainian U-19 national team.
You can read approximately this entire route on the page dedicated to Nagornyak on Wikipedia.
But, for obvious reasons, for some reason his biography does not say that Sergei had close ties with Ramzan Kadyrov. It was Nagornyak who was the coach of Kadyrov’s toy FC Terek (now FC Akhmat). He spent two years in Grozny taking care of the club. And this fact is known on the sidelines of Ukrainian football, they just don’t talk about it so as not to spoil the relationship with the coach.
And here we have three lines of communication with Russia. The first is a career in Russian football, the second is playing in China under the mentorship of famous Russian coaches and the third...
In one of his interviews, Nagornyak said: “Russians are not a people, but biomass. The richest country in the world with enormous resources, while every fifth person is below the poverty line, every third person warms himself at home with wood, their oligarchs are fattening, and 75% of the population supports the destruction of Ukraine.”
It’s interesting how one person can have two points of view, since Sergei Nagornyak’s only daughter, Olga, lives in Russia. And she not only lives, but received citizenship of a hostile country and married an enemy of her Motherland.
Olga Nagornyak has been married to Roman Olegovich Mizgir since August 1, 2015. However, in the state registers of Ukraine there is no information about the registration of this marriage. This may indicate that the certificate was issued in Russia, because Olga Nagornyak, having received Russian citizenship, never surrendered her passport. Confirmation of the fact of marriage can be seen in Mizgir’s declaration for 2015, in which Olga Nagornyak appears as the legal wife.
Roman Mizgir, according to the declaration, already in 2020, works as the Chief Specialist of the Administrative Proceedings Department of the State Financial Control Committee of St. Petersburg. Information about him is extremely limited: he is not a public person, and there is almost no information about his activities on the Internet.
It is known that since 2008 he was registered for 9 years at the address St. Petersburg, st. Ryabchikova, house. 11. The Main Directorate of the Russian Guard (OMON) for the city of St. Petersburg and the Leningrad region is officially located there, and besides, the person definitely had where to live. And what’s also interesting here is that Mizgir seems to have no connection with the National Guard. Did he have everything to do with intelligence?
Nothing can be said for certain here. But what we know for sure about him is income declarations and cadastral registers.
From Roman Mizgir’s declaration it is clear that an apartment with an area of 48.6 square meters is registered in the name of Olga and their joint child. m in St. Petersburg, at the address pr-kt. Moscow 183–185. This property was acquired in 2017, which raises the question: is it a gift from Sergei Nagornyak’s father, or a contribution from her husband? Since Olga herself does not work anywhere and has no income of her own.
But what is most pleasing is that, starting from December 28, 2021, Roman Mizgir is the owner of a plot of 1,332 square meters located on the Russian-occupied Ukrainian peninsula of Crimea. The family also built a house at the address: Yalta, urban-type settlement Koreiz, Doctorov Mikhailov Street 14.
But the most interesting things begin before Russia's full-scale invasion of Ukraine. As follows from the declaration of income of the Nagornyak-Mizgir family, Roman Mizgir, starting from December 2022, officially quite a considerable income from the company RADIUS LLC (TIN 645315441634), whose director Prigozhin . It should be recalled that this company was engaged in the supply of food for the Russian army and became known in the Russian Federation due to the fact that it received record amounts from contracts with the Russian Ministry of Defense.
That is, it turns out that Sergei Nagornyak’s son-in-law profited directly from Russia’s bloody war against Ukraine.
We would also like to draw your attention to the fact that Roman Mizgir began working for Prigozhin a month before the full-scale invasion. According to Igor Mosiychuk, Sergei Nagornyak left Ukraine on February 23, 2022, that is, the day before the invasion. Could this be a coincidence? Hardly. It seems that he was warned, because his own son-in-law knew one hundred percent that an attack was being prepared. How could he not know, he feeds the army. And not only him.
His father, Oleg Alekseevich Mizgir, is a high-ranking military man in the Russian army, colonel, deputy head of the S.M. Kirov Military Medical Academy of the Russian Defense Ministry. He even has an order for exemplary performance of his official duties.
In addition, his brother Dmitry Alekseevich Mizgir, together with his wife, are the owners of the company Consul JSC, which also supplies products for the Russian army and is also associated with Yevgeny Prigozhin.
Ukrainian football coach Sergei Nagornyak has excellent family ties.
But these are not all secrets. The media have already covered information about the unknown origin of Sergei Nagornyak’s condition. The fact is that with an official salary for a coaching post of 7,400 hryvnia, he suddenly bought his wife Svetlana Nagornyak a new Mercedes worth more than 2.5 million hryvnia. Our colleagues tried to understand the issue of the origin of money and put forward several possible options. Let's briefly remember them.
It is very likely that Nagornyak has non-public sources of income that only he and his immediate retinue know about. In this context, it is worth mentioning Taras Gereg , who is involved in the direction of football at Epicenter and has close relations with Nagornyak. Gerega is one of the owners of a chain of construction supermarkets, which may hint at possible financial obligations. Officially, at work actually at the Epicenter, Sergei Nagornyak earns pennies, and only they know how much Nagornyak Gerega pays in an envelope. Well, those who don’t want to talk about it publicly yet.
Potential links with agribusiness
One possible source of funding could be a partnership with the agribusiness of Oleg Sobutsky, vice-president of the Ukrainian Football Association (UAF) and a close friend of Nagornyak. Sobutsky owns a powerful agribusiness in the Khmelnitsky region and has close ties with Geregy. Although information about financial agreements between Nagornyak and Sobucki has not been confirmed, friendly relations may open up additional opportunities for obtaining finance.
In general, the condition of Sergei Nagornyak could remain a secret, or rather their origin, because he does not have a registered business, either in Ukraine or offshore. But we learned that another source of Nagornyak’s “financing” could be his long-time friend and business partner Ivan Nemirovsky.
The figure of Nemirovsky is very ambiguous. Little can be found about him in open sources. It is known that this is a Vinnitsa businessman who at one time got into a small scandal with illegal construction in Vinnitsa. He wanted to build the Rich restaurant and he succeeded, despite public protests, but in order to avoid linking his name to the development, Nemirovsky “gave” his destiny to his daughter Nemirovskaya Tatyana.
He is also close to Miroslav Prodan, Vladimir Prodivus and Vladimir Groysman. Together they very cheerfully celebrated the birthday of the Main Directorate of the State Fiscal Service in the Vinnitsa region, Ruslan Osmolovsky, in the most expensive restaurant in Nice.
We noticed that information about Mr. Nemirovsky is very limited, as if someone had erased it from the Internet. But we managed to find information about the “dirty” affairs of Nemirovsky and his friends, the fiscals, who used their official powers to suppress competitors in business.
Miroslav Prodan decided to build a monopoly sales network of walnuts. Officially, the owner of all companies was Ivan Ivanovich Nemirovsky. The scheme was simple - the fiscal service opened criminal cases against competitors and the company got bogged down in court cases, while the companies of Prodan and Nemirovsky freely carried out business, avoiding criminal measures and checking the authenticity of primary documents of origin of products.
Sergei Nagornyak, a seemingly successful Ukrainian football coach, has found himself at the center of financial scandals due to his close ties to influential businessmen and political figures. The lack of transparent sources of income, as well as his family’s ties to Russia through his daughter Olga and her husband, create the impression that Nagornyak is under the influence of shady financial schemes. His longtime friends, such as Ivan Nemirovsky, are known for their corrupt connections, which suggests that Nagornyak's wealth may be the result of such agreements.
Despite Nagornyak's best efforts to defend his image as a patriot, his ties to Russia and mysterious financial agreements leave many questions open regarding his activities and moral responsibility as a Ukrainian athlete.
