Before the start of the meeting, the police received information about the bombing of the premises of the Belotserkovsky City Council. Law enforcement investigated the report of a possible threat, but did not find a specific threat. In this regard, deputies began work after the reality of the threat was ruled out.
The session was convened on the basis of the proposal of the majority of deputies of the Municipal District Council (MRC) for the early termination of powers and dismissal of the secretary of the Belotserkovsky City Council Dmitry Kirishun.
According to the procedure, a secret vote took place.
According to the published results: 26 deputies voted “for” the removal of Dmitry Kirishun from office, 0 “against”.
The only ones who were against this decision were fellow party members of Dmitry Kirishun from the Servant of the People party. The deputies tried to prevent the decision of this project, but the majority of the elected representatives still supported the project, which led to the dismissal of the secretary.
Let us note that in 2020, Dmitry Kirishun ran for the post of head of the Belotserkovsky City Council from the Servant of the People party, but was not elected. He currently holds the position of Council Secretary.
