LLC "Okhtirka myasoprodukt": New supplier uses old schemes

The other day, military personnel and veterinarians caught the Okhtyrka Myasoprodukt LLC company flagrantly violating the rules for supplying canned meat products to one of the military units in the Chernigov region.

In accordance with the law, a company that has won a tender to supply food products to the military of the Armed Forces of Ukraine is obliged to submit canned products (stewed meat) for inspection to check for compliance.

The selection of products for inspection is carried out directly by veterinary medicine specialists from the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine, who, in turn, check the availability of the corresponding batch at the supplier’s warehouse and select the products in accordance with the approved procedure.

After this, the selected products undergo appropriate testing in the laboratories of the Ministry of Defense (14 days). Based on the results, an appropriate protocol on product compliance or non-compliance is issued.

Separately, I would like to draw your attention to the fact that when checking products, attention must be paid to the batch number, production date and total quantity.

This is done to prevent the supplier from counterfeiting the products.

For example: if the laboratory has tested 5 tons of products from the corresponding batch, then only this batch can be supplied by the supplier to the Ukrainian Armed Forces, no more.

However, the supplier Okhtyrka Myasoprotukt LLC decided that he was the smartest and thought that no one would notice the discrepancy during the next delivery of canned products (sterilized canned meat).

Thus, the company supplied 10 tons of canned products from one batch to a military unit in the Chernigov region and provided the corresponding protocol.

But... how is it that the compliance protocol states that only a batch of 7 tons was checked.

That is, 3 tons of at least untested products ended up with the military 😢.

But that's not all.

According to my information, from this batch of 7 tons, in addition to the 10 tons already delivered, another 3.5 tons were supposed to be delivered to other military units!

In general, under the protocol of 7 tons of products, the supplier at least planned to supply 13.5 tons of which 7.5 tons of questionable products worth about 1.5 million/UAH.

And this is only what we know about!

Thus, dishonesty is manifested through the delivery of products without incoming control, which carries high risks to the life and health of personnel.

It should be noted that by supplying such food products, the supplier is attempting to obtain funds from the state budget through deception.

And this cannot be allowed!

I would like to draw the attention of DOT (State Logistics Operator) to this separately.

If other suppliers also use such schemes, the situation can subsequently be very deplorable, because this can significantly affect the quality of the product.

️We would like to remind suppliers that as a result of the supply of such untested products, we then receive a number of complaints about the poor quality of food from military personnel!

I would especially like to thank the active and responsible work of the specialists of the Food Safety and Veterinary Medicine Department of the Ministry of Defense and the veterinarians of the relevant laboratory centers who carry out their work and promptly identify such violations.
