In the Rivne region, law enforcement officers seized almost a ton of raw amber stones. Its estimated cost is 60 thousand US dollars.
The stones were also seized as part of criminal proceedings opened under Part 1 of Art. 240-1 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine, will be sent for examination
As a result of searches in the home of a 41-year-old resident of Kvasilov, police discovered and seized approximately 70 kilograms of amber.
In addition, investigative actions were also carried out on the territory of an enterprise in the city of Zdolbunov, several premises of which the man uses. Here, law enforcement officers seized another 900 kilograms of amber.
“The man claimed that he had all the necessary documents, although he never provided them,” the police added.
A pre-trial investigation into this fact is underway.
