Ukraine will receive support from Finland in the production of artillery shells

Finland plans to resume production of artillery ammunition and provide it to Ukraine. A final decision on this issue is expected before Christmas.

This was stated by Finnish Defense Minister Antti Hakkänen in an interview with Iltalehte .

“We have completed negotiations on how Finland will further increase the production of ammunition for arming Ukraine. This decision will be made soon,” Hakkänen said.

As the official noted, this issue will likely be resolved by Christmas. He added that a plan has now been announced to significantly increase ammunition production.

“The intention is to support Ukraine even stronger than it is now. At the same time, we will further improve the readiness of Finland and the Nordic countries for ammunition production,” Hakkänen added.

It is noted that their production will be increased by tens of millions of euros.
