Ukraine needs warships, we will be happy to receive British frigates, - Commander of the Ukrainian Armed Forces Navy Neizhpapa

The Ukrainian fleet needs warships. Therefore, Ukraine is interested in British frigates, which the Royal Navy will probably have to “decommission.”

This was reported by the Commander of the Ukrainian Naval Forces, Vice Admiral Alexey Neizhpapa, in an interview with Sky News.

It is noted that we are talking about the frigates HMS Argyll and, recently renovated, HMS Westminster. British media reported that Great Britain was forced to “decommission” these ships in order to redirect the sailors serving them to a new class of frigates.

Neizhpapa noted that Ukraine is ready to accept British warships if possible.

“Of course, the Navy needs warships, because we understand that without ships there is no fleet. Therefore, if such a decision is made regarding the possibility of transferring two frigates to the Ukrainian Navy, we will be very happy about it,” the commander said.
