The draft state budget for 2024, submitted by the Cabinet of Ministers to the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine, proposes to establish, from January 1, a minimum living wage per person per month in the amount of 2,920 hryvnia.

Bill No. 10000 “On the State Budget of Ukraine for 2024” proposes to establish, from January 1, 2024, a minimum subsistence minimum per person per month in the amount of 2,920 hryvnia, and for the main social and demographic groups of the population:
- children under 6 years old - 2563 UAH;
- children from 6 years to 18 years – 3196 UAH;
- able-bodied persons - 3028 UAH;
- able-bodied persons, which is used to determine the basic salary of a judge - 2102 UAH;
- able-bodied persons, used to determine the official salaries of employees of other government bodies, the payment of which is regulated by special laws, as well as employees of tax and customs authorities - 2102 UAH;
- able-bodied persons, used to determine the official salary of a prosecutor of the district prosecutor's office - 1600 UAH;
- persons who have lost their ability to work - 2361 UAH.
Also, from January 1, 2024, it is proposed to establish the minimum wage:
- in a monthly amount: from January 1 - 7100 UAH, from April 1 - 8000 UAH;
- at an hourly rate: from January 1 - 42.6 UAH, from April 1 - 48 UAH.
In addition, the size of the minimum wage used as a calculated value for calculating payments under court decisions is proposed to be determined at the level of 1,600 hryvnia.
