The war in Ukraine, started by Russia, forced millions of people to move to safer countries to seek refuge and opportunities to survive. But every rule has an exception.
Fraudsters and swindlers also got a chance to expand the scope of their activities. Disguised as refugees, they entered wealthy Europe to deceive gullible Europeans. In particular, we are talking about the mother and son of the Voloshins - music producers from Kyiv, who decided to make extra money from the gullible French.
A little history
Elena and Igor Voloshin have been in the Ukrainian music scene for more than 20 years. They position themselves as successful producers organizing concerts. In order not to pay taxes and avoid responsibility, they created a whole network of legal entities and fictitious companies in Ukraine. Many are already closed, all the rest are “dummy” with an authorized capital of 1000 UAH.
Among them are the brands “ALLIANCE PRODUCTION”, “ALLIANCESHATRO”, “ALLIANCE-CHATEAU”, “ALLIANCE-CHATEAU”, “ART ALLIANCE”, “ALLIANCESHATREU”.
The Voloshins also did not hesitate to steal other people’s ideas and projects, violating copyright. In particular, the musical NOTRE DAME DE PARIS (composer Riccardo Cocciante, libretto author Luc Plamondon), the original version of which was first performed in Paris on September 16, 1998.
And the musical itself was included in the Guinness Book of Records as the biggest success in the first year of work. They just copied it. The same applies to Rock Opera Mozart. The original is a French musical produced by Dov Attiyah and Albert Cohen, dedicated to the life story of Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart. This musical is considered one of the most commercially successful projects among those released in 2009-2010. The Voloshins also stole the idea and made money from it.
And if the tax authorities and law enforcement officers did not notice their dark deeds, their colleagues in the shop have long shunned cooperation with the Voloshins, characterizing them as unreliable and abandoning them. They began to be shunned even more after the Voloshins came to the attention of the Department for Combating Drug Crime of the National Police of Ukraine.
Yuri Chernetsky in the center of Kiev during the sale of cocaine . While investigating this case, law enforcement officers found out that the Voloshins were involved in his drug distribution scheme at concerts. Moreover, during a survey of artists who worked with the Voloshins, some of them stated in their testimony that Igor Voloshin himself snorts cocaine.
Actually , due to these circumstances - the threat of criminal proceedings, a negative reputation , feedback from colleagues and the fact that in recent years their business in Ukraine was not very successful, the Voloshins were looking for an opportunity to escape. The war changed everything. Millions of Ukrainians went to Europe in search of protection and livelihoods. The Voloshins also left as refugees, but they had other plans.
Refugees on the Cote d'Azur
They did not plan to live on meager cash payments. Their goal is the rich Cote d'Azur, more precisely the French part of the Riviera, a resort area on the Mediterranean coast, in France and Monaco, including the cities of Saint-Tropez, Antibes, Nice, Cannes, and Monte Carlo.
After arriving at the new place, the Voloshins immediately began to do what they know how to do - build an illegal business. They rushed to look for a way to reach people from the environment of the so-called “Monaco battalion”, to offer them their services in organizing luxury leisure and fulfilling any whims. Having accumulated funds and received the necessary contacts, the Voloshins took up the old with new enthusiasm.
Mother and son were not very embarrassed that they were in Europe , where they obey laws and there are no bribes, so they began to work as best they could. We registered the organization “Alliance Chateau”, the minimum required for its activities, in the city of Antibes, near Nice (France).
Data from the French service - monitoring company registrations
Using new contacts in “ Monaco battalion ” , they began to contact representatives of show business with offers to organize their performance in France. And at first they succeeded.
In addition to copyright infringement, the producers decided to flirt with the French tax system. They paid artists' fees entirely in cash, avoiding paying taxes, and blackmailed and threatened staff and artists who did not agree with this policy. They constantly deceived us, and moreover, they did not enter into any contracts with the artists, or any insurance policies (which is mandatory in Europe).
While serving wealthy Ukrainian refugees , Igor met local drug dealers. Buying “white powder” for the rich and his own use, he simultaneously established the process of selling cocaine during concerts. Of course, for a good percentage.
And this would probably have continued if not for the tragedy.
Responsibility for irresponsibility
During one of the concerts organized by Voloshina, Ukrainian musician Igor Krechkovsky almost died. The incident occurred on November 29, 2023 in the Zénith d'Orléans hall. As the French press reported : a 39-year-old man fell from a pedestrian bridge whose height exceeds ten meters.
The man was taken to Orleans Hospital in serious condition. The event took place several hours before the concert of the rock symphony orchestra, but the performance still took place. After all, Voloshin’s profit is the main thing.
The organizers of the event immediately stated that this was an accident. According to them, he fell due to negligence . any help to the victim , or at least condolences from them. And this despite the fact that the young man was on the verge of life and death, and because of the Voloshins’ greed, he received neither insurance nor any funds for treatment. him at their own expense .
An investigation into the circumstances of the tragedy is currently underway. In addition to the article on violation of safety regulations and negligence committed during the organization of the concert, the Voloshins may also receive very serious charges of tax evasion, violation of labor laws and drug distribution.
Workers want to return
Feeling that very soon they would be put under pressure by French law enforcement, the producers began to prepare the ground for a return to Ukraine. As they say around the Voloshins, they are actively “cleaning up their tails” in preparation for fleeing France. Moreover, Igor Voloshin (born August 19, 1987) has an expired passport (ER154586), and there is no time to wait for a new one. So he cannot go to another country.
Therefore, they are already trying to “solve” problems in Ukraine remotely and organize concerts in Kyiv, because they need money. After all, they don’t want to go to prison, even though it’s European. And the Ukrainian musical community and law enforcement officers are already awaiting the triumphant return of guest workers, who have once again disgraced the reputation of Ukrainians in Europe.
