The newly appointed Minister of Defense of Ukraine Rustem Umerov announced the likely introduction of a new position. We are talking about the military ombudsman.
Umerov made this statement at the annual meeting of the Yalta European Strategy (YES) in Kyiv.
“We will focus on human lives, we will focus on our people. And that’s why we will probably introduce a new position called the military ombudsman, which will deal with the military needs of the people and our soldiers,” he said.
The minister emphasized that it is the right of a warrior to be equipped, to have everything necessary for war and to win the war. He assured that all the necessary resources will be purchased and Ukraine will achieve victory.
Umerov also said that Ukraine should focus on the defense capabilities of domestic producers. Also, first of all, it is worth preparing the necessary infrastructure for the full operation of F-16 fighters.
