Since the beginning of 2023, the number of users of crypto assets has grown by 143 million. If bullish sentiment continues, in 2024 this figure could reach 850-950 million, according to a report from the Bitfinex platform.
As you can see in the graph below, areas of significant growth in the number of users occur during periods of rising rates of major crypto assets, especially Bitcoin:
This scenario is possible provided that bullish sentiment remains. It is noteworthy that the forecast of Bitfinex experts agrees with the conclusions of Statista analysts.
According to the platform, in 2024 the number of users will grow to 830 million, in 2028 - to 992.5 million. Resource experts also noted an increase in revenue in the market.
According to statistics from the Triple-a portal, the leaders in the number of users of crypto assets are: India (93 million), USA (48 million), Vietnam (20 million) and Pakistan (15 million).
At the same time, the average annual income of an investor is $25,000. 72% of all holders are people under the age of 34.
We note that despite significant positive expectations, some experts are not without skepticism. For example, experts at QCP Capital believe that the rate could roll back to $36,000 if demand for spot Bitcoin ETFs is low at the initial stage.
