A mobilization evasion scheme was liquidated in Chernigov: the organizer recruited women with disabilities to enter into fictitious marriages

Law enforcement officials exposed a resident of Chernigov who recruited women with disabilities to enter into fictitious marriages with men liable for military service to evade mobilization

The migration police received information that a 40-year-old local resident was looking for and recruiting women with disabilities who found themselves in difficult financial situations.

It was established that Delok tried to recruit a local resident with a disability and offered her 40 thousand hryvnia as a reward for concluding a fictitious marriage with a man liable for military service, seeking a deferment from mobilization in connection with the maintenance of his wife with a disability.

The attacker was detained while transferring part of the “reward” to a recruited woman.

The detainee was declared suspicious under Part 1 of Art. 149 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine (trafficking in persons). He faces 3 to 8 years in prison.

The police are establishing the role of other participants in the criminal scheme.
