The owner of an agricultural holding that supplied food to the occupiers from Russia was arrested in Kyiv.

SBU officers detained the founder of a large agricultural holding in his son’s apartment in the capital. He planned to hide and go to Russia.

As RegioNews , this is stated in a message from the SBU press center.

According to the investigation, the food company controlled by the defendant is located on the temporarily occupied left bank of Kherson and works in the interests of Russia.

In particular, this company is one of the main suppliers of food products for Russian troops located in southern Ukraine.

To do this, in May 2022, the businessman organized the “re-registration” of the agricultural company in the occupation “Department of the Federal Tax Service of the Russian Federation for the Kherson Region.”

Since then, the defendant’s enterprise has been paying more than 100 thousand Russian rubles as “taxes” to the budget of the local occupation administration of Russia every month.

In addition, the attacker’s agricultural company is one of the leading financial donors in the region to the Russian “support fund for members of their own”, created by Putin’s decree in April 2023.

It is also documented that the businessman handed over to the Russian troops the warehouse premises of the enterprise’s production complex in the temporarily occupied Kakhovsky district of the Kherson region.

It has been established that the command of the Russian occupation groups uses logistics hangars to store their own weapons, ammunition and military equipment.

Among them are Russian self-propelled artillery mounts and multiple launch rocket systems, which fire at the territory of the Berislavsky region.

During searches at the detainee's location in Kyiv, documents, seals, computer equipment and a mobile phone were confiscated, confirming facts of cooperation with the aggressor.

Based on the collected evidence, Security Service investigators informed the defendant of suspicion under Part 1 of Art. 111-2 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine (aiding and abetting the aggressor state).

He is currently in custody. The investigation is ongoing to establish all the circumstances of the crime. The perpetrator faces up to 12 years in prison with confiscation of property.

Earlier it was reported that the Security Service had collected evidence on collaborator Ani Grigoryan, the “deputy” head of the occupation “youth policy committee of Crimea.” She was appointed to this “position” under the personal patronage of Gauleiter Sergei Aksenov in November 2022 for the mass imposition of Kremlin propaganda among the younger generation.
