A journalist was beaten in Pechersk in Kyiv: the police began criminal proceedings

In Kyiv, in Pechersk, a journalist was attacked - a media representative was beaten while performing his official duties. This happened during a raid on an illegal call center.

This was reported by the Main Directorate of the National Police in Kyiv. It was previously established that media representatives received information that an illegal call center was allegedly operating in one of the office premises.

The journalists arrived at the specified address and began communicating with the people in the office. During this conversation, they had a conflict, as a result of which one of the media representatives was injured.

The police classified this incident as a threat or violence against the journalist. Law enforcement officers are establishing all the circumstances of the incident and its participants.

Criminal proceedings were launched into the beating of a journalist in Pechersk.

“Law enforcement officers entered information into the Unified Register of Pre-trial Investigations under Art. 345-1 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine – threat or violence against a journalist,” the message says.
