Secret production of olive oil and sauces of Italian brands discovered in Kyiv

Over 90 tons of counterfeit olive oil and other goods were seized from warehouses and points of sale.

In the capital, BEB detectives exposed the underground production of olive oil and sauces of famous Italian brands, organized by residents of the city of Kyiv and the Lviv region. They created an enterprise where they produced counterfeit goods.

Information about this was published on December 20 on the official portal of the Bureau of Economic Security.

It is reported that two men - residents of Kyiv and Lvov, using a company name and trademarks, sold counterfeit goods through a chain of stores under the guise of original products. One of the affected companies has already announced that it suffered material damage on a particularly large scale.

“EBB detectives conducted 20 searches in the city of Kyiv, Lvov, Kharkov and Dnepropetrovsk regions. More than 90 tons of olive oil and other products were seized from warehouses and places where counterfeit goods were sold. During a search in the Lvov region, an olive oil bottling line, equipment, containers, raw materials and finished products were discovered and seized,” the report says .

The total estimated value of the seizure is almost 7.5 million hryvnia. Currently, the illegal activities of the factory for the production of fake olive oil and points of sale have been stopped.

Pre-trial investigation under Part 3 of Art. 229 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine continues. Operational support was provided by employees of the NPU Cyber ​​Police Department. Procedural leadership - prosecutors of the Kyiv City Prosecutor's Office.

As reported , detectives from the Territorial Administration of the Bureau of Economic Security of Ukraine in the Kiev region exposed and stopped the activities of 5 illegal establishments that were organizing and conducting gambling and lotteries in Fastov, Irpen and Obukhov.
