In the Kyiv region, a drunk driver in a Hummer rammed a house and injured people

In the Kyiv region, another accident occurred involving a driver under the influence of alcohol. A drunken 44-year-old leader crashed into the facade of a residential building in a Hummer.

The driver and two passengers who were traveling with him were taken to the hospital with varying degrees of injuries: 2.03 ppm of alcohol was found in the man’s blood. This was reported to the police of the Kyiv region.

“A drunken 44-year-old Hummer driver, moving through the city of Ukrainka (Obukhovsky district - Ed.), lost control and crashed into the facade of a house. The man’s blood alcohol content was 2.03 ppm,” the report said.

In Ukraine, the permissible blood alcohol content of a person driving a vehicle cannot exceed 0.2 ppm.

In addition to the driver himself, two passengers in the car he was driving received varying degrees of injuries. All three were taken from the scene of the accident to the hospital.

The culprit of the accident is currently detained. The police began a pre-trial investigation under Part 1 of Art. 286-1 of the Criminal Code (Violation of road safety rules or operation of transport by persons driving vehicles while intoxicated). The sanction of the article provides for imprisonment for up to three years with deprivation of the right to drive vehicles for a period of three to five years.
