Two “businessmen” who were selling military grenades were detained in the Kyiv region

In the Belotserkovsky district of the Kyiv region, law enforcement officers detained two men who were selling military grenades. In addition, during the searches they found more than 1,100 rounds of ammunition.

This was reported by the press service of the Kyiv Regional Prosecutor's Office. The perpetrators face up to seven years in prison.

“The pre-trial investigation established that two men established the illegal sale of ammunition in the Belotserkovsky district. While documenting the crime, law enforcement officers conducted two operational purchases and documented the sale of 10 grenades for 3 thousand hryvnia each,” the prosecutor’s office said.

According to law enforcement officers, during searches at the men’s places of residence, 6 grenades of various types, detonators for them, an F1 grenade body and more than 1,100 rounds of 5.45 caliber were seized.

Criminal proceedings have been opened regarding the illegal handling of weapons, ammunition or explosives, and the detainees were informed of suspicion and preventive measures were taken.

Let us remind you that in Kyiv, law enforcement officers detained a man who was selling combat anti-personnel grenades. During the search, 5 explosive objects were found on him.
