In the Odessa region, the military commissar set up a business selling “white tickets”

An employee of the Razdelnyansky District Territorial Center for Recruitment and Social Support of the Odessa Region offered to help a draft dodger for $7,000; he was exposed by SBI employees, the department’s press service reports.

Through his acquaintance in law enforcement agencies, he suggested that the man liable for military service organize the issuance of documents stating that he was unfit for service. He even gave the opportunity to choose how to formalize his unfitness: it could be a marriage with a woman with a disability or for health reasons.

On February 5, a businessman from the TCC and his law enforcement intermediary were detained while receiving 7 thousand US dollars for a “service.”

Currently, the issue of informing detainees about suspicion of receiving unlawful benefits by an official (Part 3 of Article 368 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine) and choosing a preventive measure is being considered. According to the law, this is punishable by imprisonment for up to 10 years.

Also, SBI employees identify persons who could use this service and officials involved in the offense.
