As a result of an explosion in Buryatia, another train carrying fuel was unable to reach its destination, according to journalist and military observer Sergei Sternenko.
According to Russian media, another train was later blown up in the area. Four tanks from the train burned out, two more were damaged by fire. According to preliminary data, fuel spilled over an area of 150 square meters.
Let us remind you that yesterday the Main Intelligence Directorate of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine informed that disruptions in the operation of the railway will become more frequent on the territory of the aggressor state. Serious logistical complications due to train delays in Russia are caused by the failure of railway relay cabinets. Also on the night of November 30, a similar event already occurred: an explosion on the Baikal-Amur Mainline in the Severnomoisky tunnel named after. Bessolovo in Buryatia.
The Russians said that the cause of the explosions in the tunnel was “sabotage,” and investigators opened a criminal case under the article “terrorist attack.”
“On November 30, unknown persons blew up a cargo warehouse on the Itikit-Okushikan section, consisting of 50 cars (41 tanks with diesel fuel and 3 tanks with aviation fuel). According to the locomotive crew, during the passage of the tunnel the tension was relieved and the train slowed down. While the team members were figuring out what was going on, heavy smoke began in the tunnel - the team secured the train and left the tunnel ,” Russian media write.
Propagandists also reported that as a result of the explosion, 16 tanks from the head of the train burned out, and a hole was found in two tanks in the drainage area. After the explosion, it was possible to remove 14 tanks, but further transportation of the cars is not yet possible: the explosion seriously damaged the rails, and the fuel flooded them.
