The media reported what income the heads of Ukrnafta and Naftogaz declared.

Ukrnafta director Sergei Koretsky is the highest paid executive among state-owned energy companies. Such data were published by journalists from “Word and Deed,” according to the material of the “Telegraph” publication.

According to the declarations, for 2023 he received UAH 27.3 million in wages (approximately UAH 2.3 million per month): UAH 14.7 million at Ukrnafta and another UAH 12.6 million part-time at Ukrtatnafta. His formal boss, Chairman of the Board of Naftogaz Alexey Chernyshov, is second on the list with an annual salary of UAH 21.4 million.

However, as the publication notes, the state oil company not only has the most expensive leader, but also the most expensive top management. According to declarations submitted to the NAPC for 2023, the director of Ukrnafta, together with his deputies, received UAH 59.8 million in wages. NJSC Naftogaz is again in second place - during the year its board earned UAH 51.2 million.

The largest salaries at Ukrnafta were received by Deputy Director for Finance Yuriy Tkachuk - UAH 9.5 million, Deputy Director and Chief Engineer Oleg Malchik - UAH 8.1 million, Deputy Director for Personnel Elena Artazei - UAH 6.7 million, and Deputy security director Konstantin Matsera - UAH 6.3 million per year.

Journalists note that these are “bare” salaries, without bonuses, which can reach 50% of the annual salary.

Against this background, the publication recalls how often the head of Ukrnafta recalls the record 24 billion UAH of net profit for 2023, which were obtained from the income of Ukrtatnafta. The material also states that actual oil production in 2023 was lower than planned - 1.409 million tons versus 1.450 million tons, but the planned figure was “accidentally” reduced to 1.405 million tons, thanks to which the company fit into the plan.
