In Sumy, the head of the DIAM department was detained for taking a bribe

Law enforcement officers detained the acting head of the DIAM Department in the Sumy region for committing a corruption offense.

We are talking about a demand for a bribe for the commissioning of a construction project in the region. The sanction of the article provides for imprisonment for a term of eight to twelve years and confiscation of property.

DIAM stated that they are ready to cooperate with the investigation to establish the facts of the offense in full, as well as to prevent such crimes. The department prepared an order to suspend the employee from work with subsequent dismissal from his position.

The official faces punishment in the form of imprisonment for a term of eight to twelve years and confiscation of property.
