Deputy head of the National Bank Dmitry Oleynik said that they plan to limit Ukrainians in transferring money from card to card - no more than 100 thousand hryvnia and 30 transactions per month.
The decision is justified by combating illegal gambling.
“We are considering the possibility of introducing a framework for outgoing P2P transfers from individual accounts of UAH 100,000 per month and limiting the number of such transfers to 30 per month,” Oleynik said.
Incoming transactions will not be limited.
At the same time, banks will be able to “manually” increase limits if there are “reasons and confirmations”.
The innovation is planned to be introduced, according to Oleinik, within a month.
The NBU also allowed the creation in the future of a register of cards that were used for illegal activities.
