From the beginning of October 2023, women must be included in the register of military personnel, which implies their duties in military service.
Fyodor Venislavsky spoke about this.
Women with medical or pharmaceutical education must register with the military. According to Fyodor Venislavsky, they will be able to cross the border in accordance with the law on military personnel.
Member of the Parliamentary Committee on National Security, Defense and Intelligence, presidential representative in the Rada Fyodor Venislavsky said that from October 1, 2023, women with appropriate education must register with the military. According to him, crossing the border for them will now be the same as for men.
“That is, if there are some separate documents that give the right to temporary departure, then yes, they will be able to go. If not, then they, like men, will be limited in their right to travel,” he said.
In addition, he added that women can also register for military service voluntarily, without having the necessary education. At the same time, there are no plans at the legislative level to expand the list of specialties for women whose representatives must register.
According to Venislavsky, in order to implement the law on military registration of women, the Cabinet of Ministers issued a resolution on the procedure for military registration. The Ministry of Defense issued a corresponding order.
