In Transcarpathia, border guards detained 14 illegal “tourists”

Over the past 24 hours, military personnel of the Ukrainian Border Service detained 14 persons without legal status who were planning to leave the country.

RegioNews reports this with reference to a statement by the State Border Service of Ukraine.

According to border guards, 9 attempts to violate the state border were recorded in Transcarpathia per day. As a result, 14 men were detained.

“The Ukrainian-Hungarian section turned out to be the most “in demand” - 12 people intended to cross it illegally. 2 people were more interested in Romania,” said the State Border Guard Service.

However, according to border guards, regardless of the chosen path, all violators are brought to administrative responsibility and are awaiting trial.
