In Transcarpathia, representatives of the local TCC and SP kidnapped a man and tortured him in the basement

In Transcarpathia, representatives of the local TCC and SP in October 2023 kidnapped a man from the Kyiv region who was walking with his family along the street and pushed him into a room. As the victim’s wife later said, he was tortured in the basement.

This was reported by the local publication Groza-news.info, whose journalists spoke with the wife of the kidnapped Martynenko, Alexandra, a resident of the village of Bolshaya Dymerka, Brovary district, Kyiv region.

According to the woman, her ex-husband was employed at one of the relocated enterprises in the city of Khust, Transcarpathian region. The woman learned about his abduction on January 20 this year.

“The man, whose life was barely saved by doctors in 2018, was diagnosed with a number of serious diagnoses, including paralysis of the right side of the face and right arm (medical documentation is attached)... He was preparing to undergo surgery on the veins of both lower extremities, since he has severe varicose veins and constant burning and bruising on my legs, walking with difficulty, limping, after suffering from COVID19 I couldn’t get on my feet for six months...”, they say publication.

She said that after changing his place of residence, the man did not hide, had a valid military ID, drove a company car throughout the Transcarpathian region for work and was repeatedly checked at all checkpoints for almost 2 years.

But after disappearing on January 20, he got in touch with his wife only a month later. He said that he was now in the 355th training mechanized regiment in the Lviv region (unit A3211), but due to “confused consciousness, he could not explain in detail what happened.”

After they talked, the following became known: Alexander Martynenko came to pick up his colleague in the city of Khust on the morning of January 20 and was abducted at approximately 8.00 by employees of the TCC of the city of Khust. He was forcibly pulled out of the car and loaded into a bus, although he did not resist. Consequently, they were taken to the Khust RTCC and SP. At 8.58 he was taken to the boss Vasily Zubatov, who took him to the military and kicked him out into the corridor.

According to the publication, in the corridor, men in balaclavas began to drag him along the corridor and beat him, and then dragged him to the basement, took away his documents and mobile phone.

“At the same time, Alexander did not offer any resistance, because due to his diagnoses and physical condition, he has paralysis of the right side of his body and cannot resist. In the basement, they also used various methods of torture; due to the confusion of consciousness, Alexander Mikhailovich Martynenko was unable to see the inscription on the office where he was then dragged; according to him, it was written there: “Military Medical Commission” or “Doctor of the Military Medical Commission” , the message says.

After the bullying, he put on the table the finished conclusion of the VLK, prepared in advance and signed by a list of doctors.

According to Martynenko’s employer, Alexander Kokhan Istvan, who tried to get into the premises and get at least some information about his abduction and illegal detention, the man was kept in the Khust RTCC for 20 hours.

It should be noted that, according to his wife, Alexander periodically became ill and was sent for examination to doctors: an examination by a surgeon, who indicated the urgency of surgery on the veins of both lower extremities, and a neurologist who referred him for an MRI.

“Both specialists ordered a re-examination, but the unit will not release Alexander. And visits to doctors took place under escort and constantly prevented doctors from conducting examinations. Alexander was supposed to be at a reception in Lvov at a military hospital on 02/20/2024, having coupons and a completed registration, he is being held by force in unit A3211 and, in Anna’s opinion, they are also exceeding their official authority and exposing him to danger and death due to the failure to provide or obstruction of medical care ", she says.

For now, a report has been drawn up against him, but if he leaves the unit and visits doctors without permission, he will be charged with desertion. The woman appealed to the prosecutor's office and the Department of Biology of the Western Region and asks, first of all, to give the father of their common minor child the opportunity to undergo a real medical commission.

Let us recall that on October 11, we reported that in the center of Lvov, a violent conflict broke out between employees of a local shopping center and a civilian man, as a result of which the latter was detained and ended up at a training ground.

Then a video appeared online showing how TCC workers in uniform forcibly seized a man who had arrived in Lviv from Kyiv. The situation occurs in front of witnesses who are likely to be directly related to the detained citizen. You can see that the women who were with the resident of Kyiv tried to intervene in the situation and even follow the man inside the premises, but they were not allowed.
