In Zaporozhye, the wife of the rector of the local UOC (MP) church was exposed for supporting Russian aggression

A woman in her own telegram channel glorified the Russian occupiers and justified their crimes in Mariupol.

Prosecutors of the Zaporozhye Regional Prosecutor's Office sent to the court an indictment against a Ukrainian citizen for the dissemination of materials containing justification, recognition as lawful, and denial of the armed aggression of the Russian Federation against Ukraine (Part 2, Part 3 of Article 436-2 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine).

According to the investigation, from the beginning of the full-scale invasion, the wife of the rector of one of the Orthodox churches of the Moscow Patriarchate in Zaporozhye supported the Kremlin’s policies and approved of Russia’s actions.

Being a public person among parishioners, she actively disseminated among them via messenger a link to destructive content of pro-Kremlin Internet resources. Also, during correspondence with them, she expressed her thoughts about Russia’s armed aggression in text and voice messages and justified the war crimes of the invaders.

During searches at the place of residence, law enforcement officers seized a mobile phone red-handed.

The pre-trial investigation in criminal proceedings was carried out by SBU investigators in the Zaporozhye region.

Note: according to Art. 62 of the Constitution of Ukraine, a person is considered innocent of committing a crime and cannot be subject to criminal punishment until his guilt is proven legally and established by a court conviction.
