The Verkhovna Rada voted in the first reading on bill 11340 on amendments to the Criminal and Criminal Procedure Codes regarding the so-called “agreements with the investigation.”
It is being pushed under the slogans of “European integration,” but in fact this bill is openly criminal and anti-people, because it provides for the opportunity for top corrupt officials and, in general, for any rich criminals to legally pay off their crimes.
So, in the case of a criminal offense, this can be done for an amount from 204 thousand to 2 million hryvnia, a minor crime - from 2 to 20.4 million, a serious crime - from 20.4 to 102 million, and in the case of a particularly serious crime - from 102 to 204 million hryvnia.
Think about it: if this bill is adopted as a whole, even for committing a particularly serious crime (!!!) it will be possible to pay off absolutely legally - as long as there is a lot of money.
It is obvious that if this criminal bill is adopted as a whole as a law, then all top corrupt officials will feel even more unpunished than now. Steal as much as you want, and nothing will happen to you for it: if you get caught, share part of the loot, and you will be “clean before the law”, you can safely continue to steal.
But even this is the “tip of the iceberg,” because if this law is adopted, it will be the legalization by the state of the existing colossal gap between the vast majority of Ukrainians and the richest percentage of citizens - the ruling oligarchy and its servants. The ability, thanks to one’s fortune, to pay off for committing a crime is directly contrary to Article 24 of the Constitution of Ukraine, according to which citizens have equal constitutional rights and freedoms and are equal before the law, and there can be no privileges or restrictions based on property status.
And all the colossal harm from the adoption of such an extremely unfair and unconstitutional law in the conditions of a full-scale Liberation War of the Ukrainian people against Russian imperialism is impossible to imagine. Those people's deputies who voted for this bill are splitting the country, insanely demoralizing the Defense Forces and the entire Ukrainian society, and creating simply excellent conditions for the implementation of Russian IPSO!
Who voted for this bill? 231 people’s deputies voted for him, 182 of them from Servant of the People (including the formally non-factional Stefanchuk and Kornienko). Satellites of the “servants” also voted: PZZHTM (former OPZZH), “Restoration of Ukraine” (another part of the former OPZZH, voted almost in full, even their owner came to vote - an odious attacker and longtime friend of Klitschko Stolar - one of the largest truants), voted oligarchic groups “Trust” and “For the Future”. And this openly anti-people bill was also voted for by “Batkivshchyna,” whose representatives are very fond of talking pompously about “justice.” The roll call vote can be found here, go and ask who the 231 scum are.
And what about “Voice” and “European Solidarity”, which are now racing to boast that they did not vote for this bill? And they did NOTHING to prevent its adoption, although they could have easily disrupted the vote by blocking the presidium in the session hall. Just like our party Popular Power would do in this situation, having its own faction in the Verkhovna Rada!
But, of course, why should they prevent the adoption of this law if they can then use it! Another cynical hypocrisy of the so-called “parliamentary opposition”.
Democracy demands that the parliamentary majority - primarily the “servants” - not put this criminal unconstitutional bill to a vote in the second reading, and if it does, reject it.
We also appeal to President Zelensky, who bears full responsibility for the appearance in the Verkhovna Rada of those scum from his faction who today pushed, together with the traitor-opzhists, this anti-people decision: publicly address your “servants” with a demand to abandon this idea! In the absence of such treatment, you sign up for this crime and join the official - now according to the law - division of Ukrainian society into castes!
And at the same time, once again we urge Ukrainians to draw conclusions from such votes. Because what matters is not how sweetly a deputy speaks from the podium, and what good slogans he displays on billboards, but how he votes. It is the deputy’s voting and other activities within the walls of the Verkhovna Rada that indicate in whose interests he works - the ruling oligarchy or the overwhelming majority of the Ukrainian people.
