The UK and Norway have teamed up to strengthen maritime security. Germany will also help Ukraine by supplying ammunition for the Armed Forces.
Britain and Norway announced the creation of a coalition aimed at long-term support for Ukraine, in particular in the field of security in the Black Sea. According to the British Ministry of Defense , this initiative will include training, equipment supply and infrastructure development.
One of the key initiatives is the transfer from the British to Ukraine of two ships for demining the seas. This will be an important contribution to improving the safety of maritime routes.
Additionally, Germany is joining this initiative, planning to transfer a significant amount of ammunition to Ukraine. Bundeswehr Inspector General Carsten Breuer said that next year Ukraine will receive about 200 thousand artillery shells. This is part of a broader EU plan to transfer one million artillery shells to Ukraine by the end of 2023.
The European Defense Agency has already signed the first contracts for the joint purchase of artillery shells for the Ukrainian military, highlighting the strong support and cooperation between the countries to strengthen Ukraine's defense capabilities.
Let us remind you that at the conference on the restoration of Ukraine, details of a new package of military assistance will be announced.
