In the spotlight

Military officer Alexander Rudomanov highlighted the atrocities of the capital's State Migration Service

On his Facebook page, a former Lb.ua journalist, and now a serviceman of the Ukrainian Armed Forces, spoke about a scheme through which the Central Interregional Administration of the State Migration Service in Kyiv and the Kyiv region legalizes Russians in Ukraine.

“I read material about an interesting scheme. Russians apply for a Ukrainian passport, but are refused by the State Migration Service of Kyiv and the region. They go to court because it turns out they have “relatives in Ukraine”; the court makes a decision in favor of the Russians. The Migration Service does not defend its refusal in the courts. Russians receive a Ukrainian passport, leaving behind a Russian one. Everything is positive,” writes Rudomanov.

He refers to the online publication Mezha, which the day before published an investigation on this topic.

Ex-People's Deputy Igor Mosiychuk was also interested in the resonant case. He now positions himself as an investigative journalist. Mosiychuk published a series of messages about the work of the State Migration Service of Ukraine.

On July 25, Igor Mosiychuk wrote the following in his telegram channel:

“In the Odessa region, the SBI exposed a State Migration Service official who wanted to get rich from so-called “draft dodgers”... And at the same time: the chairman of the capital’s State Migration Service, Vyacheslav Guz, is completely stamping passports for agents of the special services and criminals of the Russian Federation; - and they don’t notice him.”

The message begins with a video in which Vyacheslav Guz talks about corruption schemes for issuing Ukrainian passports to Russians and uses drugs.

Then the investigator received threats from a Telegram user with the nickname “Vyacheslav Guz.” The contact is decorated with a “blue tick” and a photo of the head of the Central Interregional Department of the State Migration Service in Kyiv and the Kyiv region.

Whether this is a real GMSnik account is not known for certain. However, the commentator “Guz” did not choose any expressions.
