An unauthorized landfill for household waste was discovered on the outskirts of Gorishni Plavni. Law enforcement officers began a pre-trial investigation.
Information about this was released by the press service of the Poltava Regional Prosecutor's Office. It is noted that the solid waste dump is located near the village of Grigoro-Brigadirova, Kremenchug district.
The district prosecutor's office files a claim in the interests of the state, represented by the State Environmental Inspectorate of the Central District, against the executive committee of the Gorishneplavnovsky City Council. The claim will be considered by the Poltava District Administrative Court.
“As a result of uncontrolled waste removal, a spontaneous dump of solid household waste has formed near a populated area. However, even if it has powers, the local government body does not take measures to eliminate it. The Kremenchug district prosecutor’s office filed a statement of claim for an obligation to take measures to eliminate the unauthorized dump,” the regional prosecutor’s office reported.
