All-Ukrainian Equestrian Federation of Ukraine appears in the case of misappropriation of humanitarian aid

Law enforcement officers opened a criminal case against the Secretary General of the All-Ukrainian Equestrian Federation of Ukraine (VFKSU) Mikhail Parkhomchuk, suspected of embezzling 1.5 million euros in international financial assistance.

Oleg Rubanchuk, an analyst at the Industrial and Entrepreneurial Union, reported this on Facebook.

According to him, at the beginning of a full-scale invasion, hiding behind the name of the WFKSU, the Secretary General of the Federation registered the Ukrainian Equestrian Charity Foundation in Belgium, collected international charitable financial assistance for Ukraine from international donors and equestrians from all over the world, but still has not provided a report about these funds.

In total, over two years, about 1.5 million euros were received into the accounts of Mikhail Parkhomchuk’s fund, the share of these funds is still unknown. Parkhomchuk has not provided a report to the equestrian community and the public for two years on how he disposed of them and where the funds went. Now you have to explain this to law enforcement! The case is being investigated under the article of fraud committed under conditions of martial law or a state of emergency.

He added that the situation with the reluctance of the WFKSU Secretary General to report on international assistance causes serious reputational losses to the Equestrian Federation of Ukraine, Ukrainian sports, and the reputation of the state in the international arena.

A person who stole sponsorships under the guise of war has no moral right to hold the position of Secretary General of the Ukrainian Equestrian Federation. And the demand of the entire equestrian community is that charitable financial assistance provided to those affected by the war still go to Ukrainian horsemen, and that Parkhomchuk provide a full report and bear responsibility for his fraudulent actions and for the criminal offenses committed.

Earlier it was reported that the All-Ukrainian Equestrian Federation of Ukraine was rocked by a scandal surrounding the charitable assistance provided by foreign philanthropists. The General Secretary of the WFKS registered the fund for assistance to Ukrainian equestrians, the Ukrainian Equestrian Charity Foundation. In just two years, about 1.5 million euros have been deposited into the accounts of Parkhomchuk’s foundation, but he has still not reported to the Federation members about the funds received from benefactors.

It also became known that the scandal surrounding charitable assistance in the All-Ukrainian Equestrian Federation is gaining momentum, and the National Olympic Committee addressed the All-Ukrainian Equestrian Federation with a letter about possible illegal actions of Secretary Mikhail Parkhomchuk.
