This was announced by the commander of the Air Force of the Ukrainian Armed Forces Nikolai Oleshchuk.
“Today, at about 6.00, another Su-34 “successfully returned” to base! There are also 12 downed suicide bombers and an X-59 aircraft missile,” the lieutenant general wrote on Telegram.
The Air Force clarified that on Sunday night Russian troops attacked the territory of Ukraine with six S-300 anti-aircraft guided missiles, three Kh-22 cruise missiles and a Kh-59 guided missile. The enemy also released 14 Shahed-type attack drones.
It is noted that anti-aircraft missile units and mobile fire groups of the Air Force and Defense Forces of Ukraine, and electronic warfare equipment were involved in repelling the air attack.
“As a result of combat work, 12 suicide bombers and one X-59 guided aircraft missile were shot down within the Chernigov, Sumy, Poltava, Kirovograd, and Dnepropetrovsk regions. At about 6.00, soldiers of the Vostok air command landed another Russian aircraft - a fighter-bomber in the direction,” the military emphasized.
