The High Anti-Corruption Court chose a preventive measure for Viktor Zhora

The High Anti-Corruption Court decided to impose a preventive measure on the former deputy head of the State Service for Special Communications and Information Protection, Viktor Zhor. He and his accomplices are suspected of embezzling public funds amounting to over 62 million hryvnia. The official has the opportunity to make a deposit of 10 million UAH.  

RegioNews reports this with reference to the press service of the Specialized Anti-Corruption Prosecutor's Office.

Reportedly, the court granted the request of the NABU detectives, agreed upon by the SAPO prosecutor, and applied a preventive measure to the former deputy in the form of detention with the alternative of posting 10 million hryvnia bail and imposing procedural duties if it is posted.

Let us remind you that NABU exposed a large-scale criminal scheme in which the leadership of the State Special Communications Service was involved.

The former head of the State Service for Special Communications, Yuriy Shchigol, and his deputy, Viktor Zhora, are suspected of having illegally seized state funds worth more than 62 million hryvnia. Money was allocated for the purchase of equipment and software.
