By 1990, the businessman, by his own estimate, earned almost $60 million.
In 2005, Kevan founded the Diana-Plus company, which was engaged in the development of construction projects. In 2006 he created the construction company Interinveststroy, and in 2010 the KADORR Group appeared.
In 2017, he also founded the agricultural company Kador Grain of Ukraine.

It is also known about the founder of KADORR Group that in his business empire he had several media assets - the Odessa Channel 7 and the English-language publication Kyiv Post. According to IMI, at the beginning of September this year, the Odessa Channel 7 stopped broadcasting, and the local resource USI had its funding suspended.
From November to December 2021, a high-profile media scandal continued around the Kyiv Post. Kyiv Post employees announced the closure of the independent publication due to pressure from owner Adnan Kivan. When the media workers came to work, they suddenly learned that they had all been fired. On the same day, Kevan announced a temporary suspension of the editorial office due to a reboot. The fired Kyiv Post team subsequently announced that it was launching a new English-language publication called The Kyiv Independent.
Since December 2021, the updated editorial office of the Kyiv Post has resumed daily online news coverage.
What is known about KADORR Group
As reported in the YouControl analytical system, Adnan Kivan’s group, as of the second ten days of October, includes 93 companies. KADORR Group has two main areas of its work (real estate and construction) and has 5 key persons.
In addition to the founder of the group, we are talking about his wife - Olga Pavlova, Ruslan Kivan (son), Diana Kivan (daughter) and Ruzanna Kivan (daughter).
It should be noted that the group’s assets include cottage villages and club houses on the Black Sea coast; business centers; shopping and hotel complexes; SPA centers and fitness clubs; restaurants; a children's entertainment and educational complex and a comprehensive school.
In particular, in Odessa alone, Kivan’s company built 46 residential complexes “Pearl”, as well as residential complexes “Oasis”, “Dubai in Odessa”, the business center “French Boulevard” and others.
What other scandals did the Syrian get into?
According to some investigative journalists, the complexes were built allegedly in violation of development standards - new houses were placed in areas of historical buildings, ignoring aesthetic standards.
The businessman also owned (according to declassified documents of offshore structures Bahamas Leaks) the offshore companies of Golden Gate Bay Limited, the co-owner of which was a former people's deputy from the Party of Regions, the ideologist of the scandalous judicial reform of 2010 and a supporter of the so-called “dictatorial laws” of the fugitive president Yanukovych Sergey Kivalov.
In 2017, security forces conducted searches in the offices of KADORR Group and Channel 7 on suspicion of financing “L/DPR” militants. Law enforcement officers identified more than 20 million UAH and documentation for fictitious enterprises. At the time of investigative and operational actions, the companies’ press services did not comment on the searches, and Kevan called the accusation “nonsense.”
What will happen to the business empire of the Arab investor?
It is likely that the heirs to Kevan's assets will be members of his family. However, as sources in business circles told Telegraph, some of his business colleagues “received the news of the death of an influential businessman with some interest.”
“Perhaps soon there may even be friction over the businessman’s business inheritance and his assets,” say businessmen on the condition of anonymity, without specifying specific names.
As reported, earlier a famous Ukrainian poet died in Odessa after returning from Moscow after the Russian invasion.
Telegraph also wrote that in 2023, the famous former sports functionary and businessman Gennady Uzbek died. As some media wrote, at one time Uzbek was involved in boxing together with Rinat Akhmetov, the future fugitive president Viktor Yanukovych and crime boss Alik the Greek.
Also, reports periodically appeared in the domestic media about Uzbek’s alleged criminal past.
