Our team’s attention was drawn to a family of media fighters from the Kiev region who are trying to use administrative resources to “shut the mouth” of local media. Probably the officials took a bad example from Alexander Slobozhenko, who repeatedly threatened Mikhail Tkach of Ukrayinska Pravda for his investigation.
The heroes of our material are the Sapozhko spouses, Igor, the mayor of the city of Brovary, near the capital, and Marina, a deputy of the Kyiv Regional Council from the All-Ukrainian Association “Batkivshchyna” party.
At first glance, the spouses’ declaration does not stand out in any way among middle-income families.
In particular, in his latest annual declaration for 2023, Igor Sapozhko declared: two land plots (27,700 m2 and 636 m2), income - wages (604,935 UAH), income from the provision of property for rent (18,634 m2), Igor’s personal savings 625,000 UAH. Marina Sapozhko's wife owns 4 land plots (1175 m2, 386 m2, 500 m2, 190 m2), a residential building - 168.4 m2 (built in 2008, located in the village of Gnedin, Kyiv region), apartment - 113.5 m2 ( purchased in 2007). Marina Sapozhko’s income is salary (289,668 UAH), she has no own savings.
Igor owns a 2023 VOLKSWAGEN ID.4 CROZZ, purchased in 2023 for UAH 1,036,000. Igor uses a 2021 TOYOTA LAND CRUISER (owner – SECURITY COMPANY KOMKON LLC). Marina Sapozhko owns a 2019 RANGE ROVER SPORT (the owner is Igor Sapozhko’s mother, Anna Petrovna Sapozhko). According to the declaration, the spouses have a minor son, Daniil, for whom ownership of the property was not registered.
However, this is only the official part of the couple’s fortune.
We became interested and decided to take a closer look at their households.
As we can see, in a picturesque clearing there is a luxurious house with an area of 250-300 sq.m., luxury cars, boxes for four cars, a swimming pool and a SPA center with a swimming pool. I wonder why there is a garage for four cars if the family owns one car according to the declaration. And the pool and spa center costs more than 150 thousand US dollars. What kind of money? If the family's savings are declared up to one million UAH.
Marina Sapozhko has not used the 2019 RANGE ROVER SPORT (state number АІ0008КІ) since September 2, 2023; the specified car was sold. No, Mrs. Marina did not switch to public transport, on the same day, September 2, 2023, she switched to a brand new 2023 RANGE ROVER SPORT car with state number АІ0007ОІ, which she shares with her husband, but, apparently by accident, they forgot to declare. The price of the car at the date of purchase is 160-200 thousand dollars, depending on the configuration. The car was registered at the private enterprise “UKRGEFEST”, which regularly wins purchases carried out by utility companies of the Brovary City Council. The company raised more than 32 million UAH. The company is controlled by a friend of Mr. Igor Sapozhko, Nikolay Shved. And all the companies that are controlled by the latter received from utility companies. Brovary more than 100 million UAH. Let us remind you that his other company, SECURITY COMPANY KOMKON LLC, provided Igor Sapozhko with a 2021 TOYOTA LAND CRUISER (state number KA9993AR) for use. Which may indicate the actual ownership of the Comcon companies by the odious mayor of the city.
In addition to son Daniil, the family also has a daughter, Diana Igorevna Sapozhko (born in 2003). The latter is trying to find herself in creativity, singing under the pseudonym Dimaria. On the personal pages of social networks you can see the singer’s fairly good promotion: radio, television, videos, magazines, her face was on the largest shopping centers in Kiev. All this is quite expensive for the singer and her sponsors. However, few people know the singer outside the city of Brovary. In 2024, Diana Sapozhko got into a scandal when she headed a charitable foundation, the founder of which embezzled funds for 30 thousand body armor for the Armed Forces of Ukraine. Diana never worked anywhere else.
We were interested in the fact that Diana’s parents did not mention her in the declaration for 2022 and 2023, although she lived with them in Gnedina. And that's why.
In January 2022, when Diana Sapozhko was 19 years old, she became the owner of a 2021 Audi Q8, the price on the day of purchase was approximately 100 thousand dollars. Already in August 2022, Nikolay Shved sold the Audi Q8 by proxy. Afterwards, on August 28, 2022, a brand new 2022 Lexus NX200 was registered to Diana, the price at the time of purchase was 50-60 thousand dollars. The young singer travels in the said car to European cities and the capital of our Motherland, Ukraine, which she brags about on her Instagram page. However, the specified car was spotted on the territory of the specified estate of the Sapozhko family, which in turn indicates that Diana lived together with her parents. Why didn’t Sapozhki declare the car and other property of the daughter with whom they live together? But these are not all the acquisitions of the young singer. We learned that in September 2022, Diana Sapozhko purchased real estate in Zadar, Republic of Croatia (sister city of Brovary) for more than 400 thousand US dollars.
As we see, the happy spouses of officials “FORGOT” to declare the wealth acquired since 2022 in the amount of approximately one million US dollars or forty million hryvnia, “Honestly” earned from the budget of the city of Brovary, considering that only the mayor in the family is employed.
