“I wish for wealth, gold, silver”: the State Bureau of Investigation found a “wish list” from a migration service official

The man took 10 thousand dollars each from three conscripts who wanted to go abroad. He promised 9 thousand to the border guard for help in crossing the evaders to Moldova, but he reported this to the police. The attacker was detained.

An official of the State Migration Service (SMS) in the Odessa region, who tried to organize a scheme to make money on those wishing to avoid mobilization and illegally leave the borders of Ukraine. He was detained by SBI officers in cooperation with the Department of Internal Security of the National Police and the State Border Service.

According to law enforcement officials, in July 2024 and... O. The head of the State Migration Service department began negotiations with the border guard, offering him help in transporting men liable for military service to Moldova, bypassing the checkpoint. The border guard immediately reported this to management and law enforcement agencies.

The migration service official was looking for people wishing to leave Ukraine illegally through social networks. He offered 10 thousand dollars for his services. It is known that he agreed with three clients and received 30 thousand dollars. Of these, 9 thousand were brought to the border guard.

The man had a wish letter in which he wished for wealth and expected money to come into his life.

“I wish for wealth, I wish for success, happiness, gold, silver, prosperity, health, help and for money to come into my life. I wish all this and so it should be,” says the note found by the SBI officers.

Law enforcement officers detained the official on July 23 during the transfer of money. And three men liable for military service were handed over to border guards for further processing of administrative protocols.

During the searches, more than 20 thousand dollars were found on the detainee.

The defendant was informed of suspicion of organizing the illegal transportation of persons across the state border of Ukraine (Part 3 of Article 332 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine). He faces up to 9 years in prison.

The issue of choosing a preventive measure and removal from office is now being decided.
