Over two years, the income of the head of the Poltava TsK Aleksey Trofimenko has increased significantly

In November 2023, personnel changes occurred at the Poltava Regional TCC and JV.

According to the order of the commander of the Ground Forces, Colonel Alexey Trofimenko, a native of the city of Sumy, was appointed to the post of head of the Poltava military registration and enlistment office. It is known that he had the rank of colonel and probably took part in battles with the invaders.

Less than a year after his appointment, Trofimenko’s fortune grew significantly. In 2021, his financial assets amounted to more than 50 thousand UAH, 2000 USD in banks and 3500 USD in cash. And already in 2023, he owns almost half a million hryvnia and 143,000 USD in cash. This rapid growth raises questions about his source of income and his connection to his new position.

Poltava region recently found itself among the five regions with the largest number of military personnel recognized as limitedly fit for service. This was reported by the National Agency for the Prevention of Corruption.

The court seized documents from regional military medical commissions of the Poltava region on suspicion of corruption. The investigation suggests that VLK employees accepted bribes for declaring those liable for military service unfit for service. The likelihood that this scheme operated without the knowledge of the regional TCC chairman is minimal.

The operating methods of the Poltava TCC are also cause for concern. In March, passers-by “recaptured” a 20-year-old guy, whom TCC workers were trying to drag into a car.

Later, TCC workers beat up another guy at the Central Market. Such cases demonstrate that some military personnel consider themselves above the law, especially under the leadership of Alexei Trofimenko.
