The head of the Lviv regional military administration, Maxim Kozitsky, spent 25 million hryvnia from the budget on the construction of a road to the hotel of his father, a businessman.
Reconstruction of Gornaya Street in Skhidnytsia in the Lviv region began in the fall of 2021. The cost of the work was estimated at 12.76 million hryvnia. However, the contractor managed to repair only a small area by the end of the year for 1.9 million hryvnia. The project was not remembered for a year and a half due to a full-scale war.
However, at the beginning of June 2023, the village head of Skhidnytsia, Ivan Pilyak, addressed the chairman of the Lviv Regional Municipal Administration, Maxim Kozitsky, with an official letter, calling for the continuation of repairs using funds from the regional budget.
Soon Kozitsky agreed to continue the reconstruction, but after a year and a half of downtime, the cost of the work almost doubled - to 25 million hryvnia. The funds were allocated without any discussion, since the deputies completely lost influence on the distribution of the regional budget, which began to be managed exclusively by LOVA.
Repairing the road on Gornaya Street in Skhidnytsia turned out to be the most expensive of the list of roads that were financed from the regional budget. At the same time, the project turned out to be the most dubious in terms of priority.
The updated two-kilometer street with smooth asphalt and lighting will affect only one object, which is located outside of Skhidnytsia, on the top of the hill. This is a luxury vacation complex, ready to open, which belongs to a top gas producer and businessman Zinovy Kozitsky, the father of the head of LOVA.
There is a hotel with 60 rooms on the territory, the cheapest of which costs from 9,900 hryvnia per night. The construction of 11 separate cottages is also nearing completion. All this is positioned as the wellness resort “Panorama Skhidnytsia”.
