The purchase of helmets for the National Police through open tenders was a third cheaper than in the previous year without tenders

KM Disti LLC won the tender of the National Police of Ukraine on November 24 for the supply of helmets in the amount of UAH 85 million excluding VAT.

This is reported in the Prozorro system.

The manufacturer was ordered 10 thousand bulletproof helmets “TOR” of the first protection class in black and multicam colors with a cover and bag for 8,500 UAH, or $236. They must have external mounting/guide elements for attaching additional devices to the front and sides, as well as a hole for a universal mount for a night vision device.

The dollar price is a third lower than the previous purchase. In February 2023, TOP helmets were ordered through the defensive procedure for UAH 13,600, or $372 as of the date of conclusion of the contract.

In open sources, TOR helmets without guide elements cost from 10 thousand UAH.

The warranty is five years. The goods will be paid for within two months after delivery.

Currently, the only competitor was another manufacturer - Chernivtsi LLC Scientific Production Enterprise Temp-3000, owned by JSC ZNIKIF Economics of Stanislav Lesnikov and Yuri Evtushenko. During the auctions, he offered helmets “Caska-2M” at the same price, but lost to the winner of one lot by 1,000 UAH, and in the other by 1,500 UAH.

The owners of the Kyiv "KM Disti" are director Taras Rozkvas and Kvazar-Micro LLC Evgeniy Utkin, Vladimir Pestenkov, Maxim Ageev and Canadian citizen Bogdan Cupich.
