The mayor of Nikolaev, Alexander Senkevich, earned almost 740 thousand hryvnia in the first nine months of 2024. And this is not only his salary - this includes business trips, bonuses, and various allowances.
Senkevich’s basic salary is not that big – from 7 to 20 thousand hryvnia per month. But thanks to all kinds of allowances and bonuses, the mayor’s income soars to 58-90 thousand hryvnia per month.
During this year, the mayor went on business trips three times, for which 110 thousand hryvnia were spent from the city budget, and in September only one trip cost 60 thousand.
In addition, Senkevich had already taken vacation three times a year - in February, March and August, and for this he received another 42 thousand hryvnia. Plus, he is paid for his title, length of service, work with classified documents and an academic degree.
Thus, Sienkiewicz receives:
- Bonus for rank,
- Payments for long service,
- Compensation for work with secret documents
- Increase for scientific degree.
Of course, such income of the mayor looks impressive against the background of the situation in the city, where people are forced to survive on small salaries and pensions. And when you hear about such amounts for bonuses and business trips, this raises questions among many.
