Zelensky announced an updated maritime strategy for Ukraine

President Volodymyr Zelensky said that Ukraine is now working on a new strategy for the state at sea - the Ukrainian Maritime Strategy. He said this in his evening video message.

– This strategy will soon be approved by the National Security and Defense Council; its points are now being finalized. “We clearly understand that the war has changed the balance of power in our entire Black Sea region, and the Russian fleet in this water area will never dominate again,” the president emphasized.

Zelensky noted that when developing a strategy, they consolidate our interests, take into account the new technological capabilities of Ukraine and our new relationships with partners. According to him, Ukraine will always now be a state that is capable of protecting its own interests at sea, transport arteries and the interests of allies and partners.

• On July 6, the commander of the Navy said that in order to liberate occupied Crimea, the Kerch Bridge must be destroyed, since it is an element of logistics. According to him, all Russian military logistics must be destroyed for victory.
• On July 1, the speaker of the Ukrainian Navy, Dmitry Pletenchuk, called on Russian tourists to leave Crimea. He emphasized that there are many military installations on the peninsula that the Defense Forces will destroy.
