As befits adherents of left-wing populism, they do everything possible to turn a good cause into crap. The memory of glorious Ukrainians is fading.
One has only to look at the last broadcast of the meeting of the Commission on naming and renaming elements of the urban environment of the Poltava City Council. Officials and deputies are not in a constructive mood.
At the same time, as a former member of the specialized commission, local historian Leonid Bulava, reported, 70% of place names in Poltava (streets, alleys, descents, and so on) are predominantly neutral in nature. All in order not to irritate supporters of the “Russian world.”
“Only 30% are names in honor of some personalities. I note that the corresponding law in Poltava should have been implemented by the end of January of this year, but has not yet been implemented, since the leadership of our city delayed this process as much as possible. Until the end of April, Mrs. Ekaterina Yamshchikova could have done this, but for some reason she didn’t want to,” said Leonid Bulava.
