The wife of State Secretary of the Ministry of Economy Petruk received an apartment for 3 million hryvnia during the war

The wife of the Secretary of State of the Ministry of Economy, the former scandalous head of the Chernobyl exclusion zone, Vitaly Petruk, received apartments in Kyiv worth 3 million hryvnia during the war.

Petruk in the early 2000s was an assistant to the Deputy Prime Minister and First Deputy Secretary of the National Security and Defense Council. For two years he worked in senior positions at NJSC Energy Company of Ukraine. From 2006 to 2010, he held the position of head of the department for examination and analysis of the development of technogenic, environmental, nuclear safety and environmental management of the Cabinet Secretariat. From 2011 to 2015, he held senior positions in the State Administration of Affairs.

From 2015 to 2019, he headed the State Agency of Ukraine for the Management of the Exclusion Zone, where he got into several corruption scandals and resigned. Then Petruk, without experience in the maritime sector, became deputy chairman of economics at the USPA State Enterprise. In March 2023, he was appointed Secretary of State.

His wife Victoria Petruk in September 2022 received an apartment in Kyiv (54.4 sq. m) worth 2.98 million hryvnia.
