The wife of the head of the State Enterprise “Forests of Ukraine” Lyudmila Bolokhovets began to receive significant income since her husband took a high position in the state.
Since 2020, the thousands of hectares of land that Bolokhovetse acquired began to bring significant profits to his wife. In 2020, Lyudmila Bolokhovets received the first dividends in the amount of 330 thousand UAH from the activities of Ivangorodskoe LLC, which this year increased its income from sales from 17 to 50 million UAH and showed a net profit of 13 million UAH (in 2019 it was only 988 thousand UAH). In 2021, Lyudmila Bolokhovets’ dividends already amounted to 660 thousand UAH, in 2022 - again 330 thousand UAH and 722 thousand UAH for 2023.
In 2021, the wife, by that time already the chairman of the State Forestry Agency, also opened a sole proprietorship with the main type of activity - the activity of freight road transport. And the entrepreneur was immediately successful: if in the first year she earned 451 thousand 675 hryvnia, then in 2022 - already 696 thousand UAH, and in 2023 - 1 million 535 thousand UAH. She receives this income exclusively from the enterprises of her husband’s business partners - Mikhail and Andrey Reva, or rather, from their enterprises Garant Energo LLC, M.V. LLC. Invest", LLC "Energo Smart", PE "Energostrom" and LLC "Garant Energy".
As soon as “things started to improve,” from 2020 to 2023, Lyudmila Bolokhovets began to collect a personal land bank, buying more plots in the Chernihiv region. Over the past four years, she has immediately acquired 13 land plots in the Ichnyansky district with a total area of 36 hectares, spending a total of 30 thousand 168 dollars (about 1.1 million UAH) on them. Interestingly, the agreements were drawn up in the name of a certain Tamara Igorevna Tretyak, who acted on the basis of a power of attorney on behalf of Lyudmila Bolokhovets.
Tamara Tretyak is also a fellow villager from Bolokhovtsy. From 2007 to 2019, she was engaged in advocacy, but in November 2016 she decided to switch to logging. It was with this KVED that she opened her sole proprietorship. And what do you think, in which institution’s tenders did it immediately begin to win? That's right, the State Enterprise "Nezhin Forestry", which was then headed by Yuri Bolokhovets. In total, from 2017 to 2022, Tretyak won forestry procurement lots worth about 33 million UAH, of which she received almost 14 million UAH at the time when the forestry enterprise was headed by the current chief forester of Ukraine. Others already when “Nezhin Forestry” after Bolokhovets was headed, according to some sources, by his godfather Andrei Danko. That is, consider everyone one family.
His mother Anna Bolokhovets owes her share in the land bank of the Bolokhovets family. The same one who was a teacher in a rural school all her life, and became a co-owner of a farm and the owner of 3 land plots of more than 9 hectares, which are leased by her daughter-in-law’s Ivangorodskoye LLC. She rents another 4 plots of communal property with an area of about 73 hectares.
So these tens of thousands of hectares in total were not enough for the Bolokhovets family. Right now, the State Bureau of Investigation is engaged in criminal proceedings, opened on November 14, 2023, on the fact of abuse of power by the general director of the State Enterprise “Forests of Ukraine” Yuriy Bolokhovets and members of his family, who, according to the investigation, unauthorizedly occupied a plot of land and built a house on it. Of course, undeclared. Guess who's use this site is? It is in constant use of the State Enterprise “Forests of Ukraine”, which is headed by Yuriy Bolokhovets.
This land plot borders on another plot with cadastral number 7421784800:03:000:2040, which is in the use of Bolokhovets’ mother. Its intended purpose is for farming. However, as investigators established, the family of the country's chief forester built an artificial reservoir on this plot of land, and on the banks of which they installed temporary buildings for recreation. Well, some kind of recreation center. The idea is that it is illegal. Bolokhovets fenced these lands, and along with it 15 more plots, with a continuous fence, which makes it impossible for unauthorized persons to gain access to this territory. This is how the family business turned out.
It is noteworthy that one of the articles of the Criminal Code of Ukraine, under which the DBI opened this criminal proceeding, is Article 209 of the Criminal Code “Legalization (laundering) of proceeds from crime.” Judging by the court decisions in this case, the investigation has established that Yuri Bolokhovets is likely directing the proceeds of crime to his wife’s foreign accounts opened in the jurisdictions of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland, to which investigators asked the judges for access.
