A resident of Izmail was detained by police after he inflicted more than fifty stab wounds on his friend

He came to visit and killed the owner.

A resident of Izmail, Odessa region, stabbed an acquaintance to death, inflicting more than 50 blows on him with a kitchen knife.

This was reported by the press service of the State NP of Ukraine in the Odessa region.

The murder took place in the victim's apartment. He invited an acquaintance to have a drink together; while drinking, a quarrel broke out, the guest grabbed a kitchen knife from the table and began to strike, stopping only when the victim died.

After that, he quickly ran away, closing the door behind him. The wife of the murdered man, concerned that the man was not getting in touch, asked neighbors to go check if he was okay, and they found him without signs of life.

Death occurred from multiple stab wounds and damage to internal organs. Police seized a knife and other evidence from the murder scene and sent it for examination.

In search of the killer, they conducted a door-to-door search, interviewed residents, looked at recordings from CCTV cameras and established his identity. Less than 24 hours later he was found in the dacha area and detained; he confessed to what he had done.

He was informed of suspicion under Part 1 of Art. 115 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine for premeditated murder, the defendant faces up to fifteen years in prison.

Let us note that this is not the first time the man has committed such a crime - he has already been convicted of the premeditated murder of a comrade.
