Journalists exposed a dubious coffee shop in the center of Kyiv

Did you break the buzz? A team of journalists exposed a dubious establishment in the center of Kyiv, positioning itself as a coffee-shop, and offering drinks and snacks with cannabis and mushrooms on the menu. At the same time, the coffee shop in front of which teenagers hang out operates practically without permits - only an extract from the registration of a sole proprietor is available.

As part of a journalistic raid, investigators visited a suspicious capital establishment on the street. Antonovich, the entrance to which is decorated as a European coffee-shop. On the sign there is an image of hemp and the inscription Cannabis, and at the entrance there is a crowd of cheerful young people who openly invited the stoppers to come in and “smoke a can.”

“We exposed some strange establishment in the center of Kyiv on the street. Antonovich, near whom stood a crowd of teenagers. They recommended “smoking a can to get high.” This is what worried us. We went inside, and there the young people themselves were selling strange substances, mushrooms and the like. Apart from the individual entrepreneur registration statement, not a single document. Consumer corner – absent. What they actually smoke and consume here is unknown,” our correspondent said.

On the shelves, journalists spotted jars and packages of dubious origin, labeled with the names of different varieties of fly agarics. The menu includes mushroom desserts, a variety of teas, “cones” and pastries. Paper cones and accessories similar to smoking pipes are also sold.

As evidenced by an extract from the Unified Register of Legal Entities, Individual Entrepreneurs and Public Organizations, the probable owner of the “shop” is a certain businesswoman Elizaveta Konstantinovna Nosachenko, registered in Kropyvnytskyi.

It should be noted that the employees and regular “guests” of the establishment were outraged by the visit of journalists and devoted several messages to their visit in the Telegram channel about cannabis. At the same time, in one of the videos published there, a representative of the “shop” actually admitted that the establishment sells narcotic substances.

In addition, the journalists spoke by phone with the head of the establishment, Dmitry, who is not currently in Kyiv, and agreed to send an information request for a video commentary.

The investigation is currently ongoing and we will continue to monitor its progress.
