5 million UAH per year: the son of the head of the Ministry of Agriculture studies in the coolest school in Switzerland

The eldest son of the Minister of Agrarian Policy and Food of Ukraine Nikolai Solsky, Severin, studies at an expensive boarding school in Switzerland. Just a year of education for dad costs more than 5 million hryvnia.

The fact is that Severin is educated at Leysin American School SA, which positions itself as “a picturesque mountain house in the heart of the Swiss Alps.”

According to the website, a year of training costs an average of 120 thousand Swiss francs, that is, about 5 million hryvnia.

His Solsky declaration notes that his son rented a room in Switzerland from 2021 to the present day.

It is interesting that Solsky told reporters that he does not remember how much it costs him to educate his eldest son.

“This is not a cheap school. It may be less, it may be more, depending on the training. I remember that it is expensive. The numbers are calculated for tuition, for accommodation - they formulate the bills in their own way,” the official said.

However, the minister says that the son lives in a modest room on campus.

For the three youngest children, the minister is considering studying in the UK.

Nikolai Solsky headed the Ministry of Agro in April 2022, and his salary is the same as that of other government ministers.
