Gantz noted that the incident in Jerusalem strengthens Israel's resolve to continue the fight against terrorism.
War Cabinet Minister Benny Gantz said the terrorist attack in Jerusalem this morning strengthens Israel's resolve to continue the war against Hamas in the Gaza Strip. Note that today Israel enters the seventh day of ceasefire negotiations with the Palestinian terrorist group.
“This terrorist attack is further proof of our commitment to resolutely continue to fight the deadly terrorism that threatens our citizens. In Jerusalem, Gaza, Judea and Samaria and everywhere,” Gantz wrote on X.
Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu also left a message on X, writing that he and his wife Sarah offer their heartfelt condolences to the families of those killed in the Jerusalem attack. “We are all praying for the wounded,” he added.
Netanyahu noted that the quick reaction of two soldiers and a civilian who killed the terrorists prevented an even more serious attack.
“All Hamas terrorists are mortal – in Jerusalem, Gaza, Judea and Samaria – everywhere,” he stressed.
“I appreciate the fact that two fighters and a civilian acted quickly. The government I head will continue to expand the distribution of weapons to citizens. This is a measure that has proven its effectiveness again and again in the war against bloody terrorism,” Netanyahu concluded.
Ben-Gvir issued a threat to Hamas at the site of the terrorist attack in Jerusalem.
