On March 23, 2024, the Supreme Court of Montenegro decided to release the former CEO of Terraform Labs, Do Kwon, from prison in the city of Spuz.
In addition, the accused's passport will be confiscated to prevent him from leaving the country.
“We released Do Kwon because his regular prison sentence for traveling with false documents had ended. Since he is not a citizen of Montenegro, his documents were taken away and he was taken for questioning to the police department for foreigners, and they will deal with him further,” prison director Darko Vukcevic told Bloomberg.
Kwon's lawyer Goran Radic also confirmed his release.
It should be noted that the Supreme Court decided to release him from prison after the Montenegrin prosecutor’s office filed a request to cancel the extradition order for Do Kwon.
Let us recall that in early February 2024, the former head of the development department of the subsidiary Terraform Labs testified against the company’s co-founders Daniel Shin and Do Kwon.
