The Dobkin brothers (who like to take pictures in the cassock of the Russian Orthodox Church with St. George ribbons and stick whitewash in their noses in the Rada, and part-time raiders) against Alexey Kovalenko (TM “EPIKUR” - premium chicken, eco, bio, no antibiotics, but I didn’t delve deeply, in short, Lutsk Agrarian Company and Vladimir-Volyn Poultry Farm).
A very typical case that characterizes how we conduct business, how everything changed for us after the Maidan, with the beginning of the war for survival, with new faces - emphasize what needs to be emphasized.
And these things have been going on like this since 2015, when Kovalenko started this chicken business with his brothers’ dad, Mark Dobkin.
76% belonged to Dobkin - he had long been involved in the sale of American chicken through the free economic zone in Donbass, and later decided to organize production in Ukraine.
Kovalenko, as I understand it, was involved in operational control and standards issues, and Dobkin Sr. was in charge of organizing sales.
When Dobkin Sr. died in 2016, the heirs persuaded Kovalenko to transfer in their favor a 29% stake in the Oreola AMC, which owned the assets of the Lutsk Agrarian Company, then it weighed about $20 million.
When the Lutsk Agrarian Company was under the control of Kovalenok, he took out a loan from it for 27 million hryvnia, with a repayment period of up to 2032. But when the Dobkins became owners of part of the AMC's claims, they offset part of the debt to purchase the entire enterprise.
And so Kovalenko remained in debt to Dobkin, who, with the help of private executors, began to squeeze out production, and not debt obligations.
The Kharkov courts, naturally, recognized everything as legal. At the same time, in 2018, Alla Dobkina, Mikhail’s daughter, acquired a stake in the Vladimir Volyn Poultry Farm, which also produced chicken under the Epikur brand.
This part of the shares was worth more than 27 million UAH at market prices, and Alla paid only 15.3 million, after which the trials began, which Kovalenko (expectedly) lost.
Thus, the Lutsk agricultural company was placed at the disposal of the Dobkin brothers through offsets for Kovalenko’s debt to himself along the chain of inheritance from daddy, and the “Vladimir Volyn Poultry Farm” was bought by Dobkin’s daughter and then he directly became its co-owner with his brother, 33% each.
Next, shares were issued to reduce Kovalenok’s share, and new legal entities were created through shareholder meetings in order to move inventory balances and debts back and forth.
To save on taxes, the bros organized the supply of chicken to the LPR - 300 million worth of chicken went there, and a certain Ivanova with passports of the Russian Federation and the banana Luhansk pseudo-republic (registered in Lutugino, lol! I was there, that “economic zone”) was even Director of the “Vladimir Volyn Agrarian Company”.
There was an interesting scheme for buying cheap feed in the LPR, for withdrawing money through the purchase of fictitious securities, when the funds ended up in offshore companies, and debt obligations were hung on the company, sales supposedly to employees at preferential prices, but in fact it was also a contrabass.
There are investigative materials, the “black cash register” has been confiscated, of course, what’s the rush - everything is still dragging on. We are in no hurry when a judge, during curfew, wound a National Guardsman on wheels in front of the cameras in full view of the whole country, and here is some kind of chicken in the LPR - spit and grind. Surprisingly, the matter was “blurred up”.
Meanwhile, in Ukraine there is a war, a budget deficit of 19% of GDP, and for every large business that conducts business under martyrs and missiles, the state should fight, invest nannies and that’s all.
In general, the laughs about Dobkin on a motorcycle and the fact that he signed up for the military and hid as a priest in the church are laughter through tears.
Cross-border trade in food products with the occupier, raiding, murky schemes with compound feed from there - my no-name acquaintances from Ha claim that it seems that the money for the election campaign came from there, from chicken eaten in the LPR.
And everything is fine, Misha appears on TV and gives interviews. A former member of the Party of Regions is trying to get into politics again, either as a carcass or as a scarecrow. And nothing is done to him.
And the question arises: is the fact that ballistics are now flying around Kharkov not the work of those who showed that they were ready to trade even with the devil, for a good margin?
Why are we all basically like this, that we’ll hang ourselves for three kopecks, and the trials will go on for years and nothing will happen to anyone?
I wonder whether the Supreme Court will see this here or whether everything will drag on and on.
